About

Welcome to Furyverse, a fictional universe and art series created by Gvaat. Hello, I’m Gvaat! I draw in pursuit of art mastery, exploring questions about our endless battle against the monsters within, and how this battle impacts our relationship with others.

The series is an exploration looking inward. Often, the most mysterious questions are those we are afraid to ask about ourselves. More importantly, our ability to challenge our own demons creates a lasting ripple effect within a larger context of our relationship with others. Every drawing of a Fury is a reminder to stand against the demons within.

So what is the Furyverse?

The story so far:

Furies battle terrible evil.

In the story of the Furyverse (or Elyuros as it was once called), evil emerges in form of mephistophelian beings all throughout the universe. In different worlds, at different times. Real monsters… horns, claws, fangs, … evil… appear and devastate the denizens who are just trying to live their lives in peace.

Evil born within.

So where does evil come from? Evil comes from where we come from. Evil is found within. Each one of us has some good and some bad and a fight is waged between the two internally and endlessly. Those denizens that for one reason or another cannot continue the fight are taken over by terrible evil taking root within, and out of them springs forth a new being, a mephistophelian terror looking to hurt and punish the innocent.

Championing the fight.

But we should not fear, because among us live those ready to protect and defend civilization and life. Through histories, from all corners of the universe, those among us ready to fight for a better future became known as the Furies. Joined by the common goal to wage war against evil. The Furies, are of course the main subject of the Furyverse art series.

You can follow the progress of the series by browsing the furydex. Hope you enjoy your stay!
